September 2026 frontend demo · sample content

One illustrative guest journey

A reason to join in. A story to take away.

See how one of your hostel’s ideas becomes guest participation, recognised progress and a memory to keep. These actual frontend demo moments use sample content.

  1. 01 Browse & choose

    Your ideas, ready to join.

Invite someone new for coffee, play a board game with at least two others, or discover a local favourite together. A concrete quest gives guests a reason to make the first move.

    Explore the quest
  2. 02 Take part & submit

    The idea leaves the screen.

Guests take part in real life, inviting someone nearby or through stay chat. A face-to-face invitation can include non-app guests; registered participants submit a photo and optional journal for their own progress.

    See how it works
  3. 03 Review & progress

    Staff review. Guests progress.

Authorised staff review each submission and can approve, request changes or reject it. Approval awards Points for the Point Shop and XP towards ranks—recognition your team controls.

    Points, XP & rewards
  4. 04 Keep & choose to share

A memory tied to your hostel.

After approval, the photo and journal become a memory in the guest’s profile. Public memories can appear in the Feed when sharing is allowed; private and friends-only choices remain distinct.

    Open a memory

The quest gives someone a reason to start. The people they meet, the next challenge and a reward to work towards can give them reasons to make another plan—and perhaps stay another night.

A memory has value even when it stays private. Promotional use needs separate permission for each photo. Read the practical answers.

The practical side

A clear role for your team.

Your team sets the scene. Guests choose how to take part.

  1. 01 / Initial setup

    Set it up.

Choose quests, useful information and rewards your team can support. Set conditions and staff roles: who reviews submissions and who hands rewards over.

  2. 02 / Recurring routine

    Keep it running.

Authorised staff review submissions, approve, request changes or reject them; confirm reward redemptions, keep information current and handle community concerns.

  3. 03 / Questful help

    We help you get going.

Quest templates, reward ideas, guest messages, staff training and marketing materials. We can help your team shape a setup that feels like your hostel.

Practical responsibilities: rewards, services & photo permission

Agree reviewers and handovers that fit your team. Your hostel chooses, funds and fulfils rewards. Plan real costs, margins, staff time, stock and capacity; discounts and services need clear conditions.

Extension enquiries need reception confirmation. Booking, payments and fulfilment remain with the hostel. Photo audience choices do not grant promotional rights.

Availability & getting started

These pages describe the confirmed pilot feature scope, not general production availability. In a demo, we’ll show what is ready to try and agree availability, setup and next steps for your hostel. There is no platform fee for the pilot; your hostel covers its own rewards and operating costs. Early hostels help shape the product with feedback.

Guests follow a hostel invitation link or QR code, sign in or create an account, and check in. StayQuest is for adults aged 18 and over.

Staff work & guest choice

Guests can invite someone nearby, make plans in chat or explore independently. Participation is optional; My Stay and hostel information remain useful without a quest.

Your team handles authorised staff review of each photo submission and optional journal entry, keeps information current and confirms rewards. We can help with setup and training.

Reviews & future plans

Checkout reviews are optional and honest, offered equally to every guest. No Points, XP, rank progress, discounts or gifts are awarded, and no particular rating is requested.

Future features. Direct bookings remain a future direction, with commission-free booking as the ambition. See the longer-term plans.

01 / Browse & choose

Your hostel writes the invitation.

Quests can turn the character of your hostel into something guests can do: invite another guest for coffee, play a board game with at least two others, discover local culture or try one of your services.

Guests can see what is involved and what they can earn before choosing how to take part. Your team sets the prompts; they choose the people and the moment.

02 / Take part & submit

Real moments. A simple submission.

The activity happens away from the screen. Guests add a photo and an optional journal entry, choose who can see the memory and submit it for staff review.

A first conversation, an afternoon exploring or a shared game becomes something to remember. Taking part does not require a public post.

03 / Review & progress

A treat to earn.
A rank to reach.

Points are spendable in the Point Shop. XP records progress towards ranks and the perks your hostel chooses. Spending Points does not reduce XP or rank.

A coffee, a playful privilege, a tour discount or a hostel keepsake can give guests another reason to participate. Your hostel chooses, funds and fulfils rewards, with costs and availability that work for your team.

04 / Keep & choose to share

Your hostel becomes part of their story.

Approved quest photos and journals become memories in the guest’s profile. Public memories can inspire others in the Feed, while private and friends-only memories keep their separate audiences.

Guests keep their account and memories beyond checkout. If your hostel wants to use a photo in its own marketing, separate permission is needed for that photo.

Profiles & hostel chat

A little common ground goes a long way.

Optional interests and a bio can make a first invitation easier. Guests can ask one person along, join a group or find their feet at their own pace.

Stay-linked group chat helps the people whose visits overlap make plans, without exchanging phone numbers or moving to WhatsApp. Membership follows the stay.

It supports meeting in person. A face-to-face invitation is just as welcome.

My Stay, events & services

Make your hostel easier to discover.

Promote activities you already run through event schedules, sign-ups and automatic reminders. Useful information and local tips sit alongside quests that bring your tours, rentals and classes into guests’ plans.

My Stay brings their visit together, including perks and an extension enquiry for reception to confirm. Private guest-to-staff chat for reception questions and extension enquiries is part of the pilot scope. Booking, payment and fulfilment stay with your hostel; StayQuest does not automatically book a bed in your PMS.

Contact enquiries

Questful Ltd uses your name, email address, enquiry topic and message to respond to your request and discuss our products or working together. Phone details are optional. Our legitimate interest is handling business enquiries and requested conversations. The form also records the privacy-notice version shown when you submit.

Sending the Contact form shares these details with Formspree, which processes and stores submissions in the United States. Its spam protection may involve a CAPTCHA provider. Read Formspree's Privacy Policy and security information for provider details. Please avoid sensitive personal information or documents.

We keep enquiry emails and replies for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, maintain any resulting business relationship or meet legal obligations. Formspree's Free plan offers a 30-day submission archive; that is separate from email copies. For questions about retention or transfers, or to request access, correction or deletion of your details or object to our use, email contact@questful.net. You can also raise a concern with the ICO.

Team-interest email drafts

The Team & ambassadors form prepares a temporary draft in this page. Site code does not save that draft to browser storage or a server. Opening an email draft passes its contents to your chosen email app or provider; you choose whether to send. Copying and saving are explicit actions.

This notice covers the marketing website, contact enquiries and team-interest drafts. The StayQuest app's data handling and privacy information will be reviewed separately before use.
